Peltor Optime4 Ear Muffs are easy to wear with a low profile and no protruding parts than can catch. A hearing protector for children should be lightweight and comfortable to wear - making these earmuffs ideal for young ages.
DESIGN
Their wide, foam-filled ear cushions ensure that the headset doesn't squeeze uncomfortably and that there is still plenty of space for little ears inside the shells. Their weight is also important for comfort - a light 160 grams! Peltor Optime4 Ear Muffs feature a padded headband with seamless adjustment (fully adjustable) for a smooth fit to the shape of the head.
Peltor hearing protective ear muffs have been tested time after time with other brands. After just one hour in standard room temperature, most headbands on other ear muffs began to soften up and lose retention - reducing ability to provide maximum hearing protection. All models of Peltor ear muffs we stock in our store carry an Aust/NZ Class 4 Rating - suitable for wear in environments where noise exposure levels reach up to 100-105dB.
The variation in model names (Kid, Junior, Optime4 & OptimeH4) is mostly for branding & marketing purposes, with slightly different packaging & imprinting on ear domes. We recommend the Optime models from 12 months of age as they have a slightly larger headband height allowance when adjusted to smallest fitting in comparison to the Kid & Junior models (suitable from age 6 months).
