The Peltor Hygiene Kit contains new sealing rings and replacement foam pads.  These are replaced in a few easy steps to ensure maximum protection and prolong the life of your investment.

When will I need to use a replacement hygiene kit?

The level of usage and the environment in which the ear muffs are worn will determine when a replacement hygiene kit will be required:

FREQUENT WEAR

• When ear muffs are worn frequently or worn in a dirty environment, it is recommended that you devote one minute, twice a year, to fit a replacement hygiene kit.

OCCASIONAL WEAR

• For infrequent, occasional wear you should assess before use by pushing on the ear pads.  They should feel soft, pliable and spring back like a damp sponge.  If they feel firm and dry, then it's time to fit a replacement hygiene kit.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE / WEAR & TEAR

• If the outer black protective sealing rings covering the foam ear pads are accidentally punctured, split or torn; this provides an "open house" for bacteria and will also cause essential fluid contained inside to leak and dry up - reducing the level of hearing protection provided.
